Welcome to Viking Gymnastics Club

The mission of Viking Gymnastics is to teach your child gymnastics in a safe and encouraging fashion. Our classes maintain a small student/teacher ratio to give the highest quality individualized instruction to every student. Instructors are kept up to date on the most effective coaching techniques for the mind and body, so your son or daughter gets the most out of every session. Viking Gymnastics strives to make your child stronger and more physically aware of his or her capabilities, and at the same time educates them on how to set goals and overcome challenges, which are essential life-long lessons.

Viking Gymnastics offers a full array of children's recreational gymnastics classes, competitive teams, tot programs, camps, birthday parties, open gym, and much more. Class ages range from walking to 18 years. All ability levels are encouraged to participate. Feel free to contact us to discuss which program is best suited for your child.

About the Director

Charlie Friedman was a competitive gymnast for 10 years and had such great experiences that she created Viking Gymnastics Club to offer children and their families the opportunities she had, and more! Charlie is a Certified Elementary Teacher and is a Safety Certified Professional Member of USA Gymnastics Federation. She is the Head Girls' Gymnastics Coach at Niles North High School and has been employed there since 1999. She has taught students with varying levels of ability, as well as individuals with disabilities. Charlie continues to be thoroughly involved in the gymnastics community, and was a former president of the Illinois High School Girls Gymnastics Coaches Association.
